Utah Adventure Journal, in conjunction with Snowbird Resort is pleased to announce the 2011/12 Adventure Speaker Series, taking place at the Wildflower Lounge at the Iron Blosam Lodge at Snowbird, on six Thursday nights this winter.  Come and meet some local Wasatch adventurers, and hear their motivating and inspiring tales of high adventure from around the globe. Admission is free, and a $5 donation to the Utah Avalanche Center will get you three entries into a giveaway with great prizes donated by outdoor companies. All shows start at 6 pm. Beer and appetizer specials will also be available during the shows, arrive early to get a seat, and to perhaps win a weekly door prize as well. Speakers include renowned local athletes and adventurers including Tyson Bradley (12/22), Dean Cardinale (1/12), Kyle Dempster (1/26), Jennifer Jordan (2/9) and Winslow Passey (3/8), and a speaker yet to be determined on 2/23. The slide show and lectures will last about an hour, with the drawing to follow.

The event is sure to become a must do after a day of skiing powder for locals and visitors alike, a rare opportunity to meet and hear motivational tales from incredible local athletes, who like all of us, gain inspiration from the Wasatch.
